The Daintree Rainforest is one of the 3 world's oldest tropical rainforest that is home to a wide range of unique and rare flora and fauna. This rainforest is the largest continuous area of tropical rainforest of 1, 200 km square in Australia. The Daintree Rainforest was named after Richard Daintree, an Australian geologist and photographer.

Climate:The Daintree Rainforest has a fairly tropical climate with the dry season around May to October with warm days and cool nights with low humidity. November to April is usually the wet season with the days and nights hotter and humid.

Animals and Plants:
The ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest is one of the most complex in the world. Also this rainforest is inhabited by a wide range of wild, rare and endangered animals and plants. Around 3,000 plant species from over 210 families are found within the Daintree Rainforest. 12 out of the 19 primitive flowering plants inhabit this region. Animals within the Daintree Rainforest can not be found anywhere else in the world such as green possums, ringtail possums, fierce marsupial cats, rare bats and tree kangaroos
